Craig Bellamy has announced his Wales squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Turkey and Iceland, featuring the return of Leeds United’s Daniel James and a call-up for Rubin Colwill.
Undefeated in his first four games as head coach, Bellamy is determined to maintain Wales’ positive momentum. Currently, Wales holds second place in their group, just behind Turkey. They will face Turkey in Kayseri on November 16 before hosting Iceland at Cardiff City Stadium on November 19. Victories in both matches could secure Wales’ promotion to League A, while finishing in second place would lead to a playoff in March against a League A team, with the draw scheduled for November 22.
Daniel James returns to the squad after an injury-hit season, making his first appearance for Bellamy. Recently, he has shown promising form, highlighted by a strong goal for Leeds in their win over Plymouth Argyle. Rubin Colwill, who initially missed out on Bellamy’s early squad selections but was later called up in September, has since proven his value with standout performances in the Championship for Cardiff City.
Goalkeeper Tom King also re-enters the national team setup. However, Wales will be without Aaron Ramsey, Ethan Ampadu, and Ollie Cooper, who are all sidelined due to injuries.
