James Tarkowski remains hopeful that Everton can secure vital points during their tough December fixture run, pointing to their ability to take points off several of these teams last season as evidence they can do it again. The Blues begin a series of six challenging matches starting with a visit to Manchester United at Old Trafford. In addition to United, Everton will host Wolverhampton Wanderers, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Nottingham Forest, while also traveling to face Arsenal and Manchester City. As it stands, Sean Dyche’s side is only two points above the relegation zone.
Although Everton’s recent form has been disappointing, with just three goals scored in their last six league games and their last win coming against Ipswich Town in October, Tarkowski believes there is no reason they can’t add to their tally in the coming weeks.
“We’ve shown we can take points off these teams before, and I’m confident we can do it again,” Tarkowski said. “We’ll face every team twice, and it doesn’t matter when you play them—what matters is getting results.”
He continued, “We don’t play any more or less difficult teams than others. We’ll take each game as it comes, starting with Manchester United at Old Trafford. These are tough games, but no match in the Premier League is guaranteed to be easy. We’re ready for the challenge.”
