Joel Piroe has shared his thoughts on what Leeds United can take from their recent 1-0 loss to Blackburn Rovers as they prepare for their upcoming match against Derby County.
Leeds entered last Saturday’s Championship clash at Ewood Park knowing a win would see them return to the top of the table, but instead, they suffered a disappointing defeat that left them in third place under Daniel Farke’s leadership.
Looking ahead to this weekend’s home fixture against Derby, Piroe reflected on the team’s performance, admitting that Leeds must be more efficient in front of goal and improve their chances creation. In an interview with LUTV, he said: “We need to use our chances better and work harder to create even more opportunities.”
Despite the setback, Piroe remains confident about the team’s spirit, saying: “We’re motivated to take back what belongs to us, and we’re focused on getting back to winning ways.” He also highlighted the threat posed by Derby, praising their experienced squad, but concluded: “We have to trust in ourselves and give our best on the pitch.”
