The New York Jets’ victory over the Houston Texans on October 31 had fans hopeful for a playoff run. However, that optimism quickly faded as they were demolished by the Arizona Cardinals 31-6 on Sunday, bringing their record to a disappointing 3-7. The Jets’ offense was stagnant, amassing just 207 total yards, with quarterback Aaron Rodgers throwing for only 151 yards on 22 completions out of 35 attempts. Running back Breece Hall rushed for 52 yards, while wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams combined for 72 yards. On defense, the Jets allowed 406 yards and gave up 7.1 yards per play.

As the losses continue to pile up, many are questioning how a team with such talent can fall apart so badly.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III pointed out that the Jets’ struggles show that talent alone doesn’t guarantee success in the NFL. He emphasized the critical role that team culture and leadership play in a team’s performance.

NFL analyst Trey Wingo believes the Jets’ season is over, citing the loss of nearly 30 players to expiring contracts, a 41-year-old quarterback in decline, and a coaching staff on the verge of being fired. FS1’s Craig Carton suggested that Jets owner Woody Johnson might consider selling the team, even joking that relocating the franchise to London could offer fans a glimmer of hope.

Meanwhile, former NFL QB Chase Daniel argued that the team needs a complete overhaul, including a new quarterback and an offensive-minded head coach, but questioned whether the Jets’ owner would be willing to invest in such drastic changes.

ESPN host Mike Greenberg was blunt, criticizing the Jets for poor coaching, overrated talent, and a lack of intensity, and lamented that this disastrous season can’t end soon enough.
