According to Mick Brown, a former scout for the Hammers, Mourinho is “very interested” in the role, should it become available, as he remains connected to the club and its inner workings. Brown, who left West Ham in June, added that the Portuguese coach still owns a property in London, making a return to the English capital more feasible.
Mourinho has previously expressed his desire to return to Premier League management, particularly after his recent stint with Fenerbahçe, and has a strong history in England with Chelsea and Tottenham.
