Leeds United, managed by Daniel Farke, bounced back from their Millwall defeat with a solid 2-0 victory over QPR just before the international break. Jayden Bogle opened the scoring, while Joel Piroe, introduced as a substitute for Mateo Joseph, added the second to secure the win.
The game also saw winger Manor Solomon, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, in the starting XI. Solomon played just over 70 minutes before being substituted, as he continues to adapt to life at Leeds.
Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Bromby shared his perspective on Solomon’s potential, highlighting his Premier League pedigree but acknowledging the winger’s slow start. “He’s a quality player, but attacking players like him need rhythm and regular minutes,” Bromby said. “It’s not quite happening for him yet, but I expect him to hit his stride after Christmas. He has the talent to make a big impact this season.”
While fans are eager for Solomon to make his mark sooner, Bromby tempered expectations, suggesting it might take a few more games for the winger to find his form.
Notably, Leeds did not secure an option to buy in Solomon’s loan agreement, as Tottenham’s priority is for the player to gain consistent playing time in the Championship. Despite this, Leeds supporters are hopeful that Solomon can deliver key performances as the season progresses.
