The 25-year-old forward started the season as Daniel Farke’s second-choice striker, but his recent performances have earned him a permanent place in the starting lineup. However, on Tuesday, Farke decided to bring Piroe on as a substitute during the second half. The Dutchman quickly made his mark, assisting Dan James’ goal in the 74th minute, which helped Leeds secure a 3-1 win.

Neil Redfearn, former Leeds United manager, was full of praise for Piroe’s contribution, especially his assist, which he described as “international class.” Redfearn emphasized the forward’s sharp game awareness after coming off the bench, noting his ability to control the ball and integrate his teammates into the play. He also pointed out how Piroe recognized the danger of the runners and made the right decisions in key moments.

“Piroe made a huge difference,” Redfearn said on BBC Radio Leeds. “He showed great awareness, a fantastic touch, and the quality of his pass for James’ goal was exceptional. When he came on, he immediately understood what was required, held onto the ball well, and brought others into the game. He recognized the threat from the runners and played a crucial role in the build-up.”

So far this season, Piroe has netted seven goals and provided three assists in 20 Championship appearances for Leeds.
