Lewis Hall earned praise from Eddie Howe after making his senior England debut during the midweek clash against Greece. The 20-year-old entered the match as a halftime substitute, contributing to the Three Lions’ dominant 3-0 win in Athens. The victory allowed Lee Carsley’s side to bounce back from their shock defeat to Greece at Wembley last month, a loss that reportedly influenced the FA to consider managerial changes, including Thomas Tuchel.

Carsley, known for prioritizing youth development, handed Hall his first senior international appearance. Newcastle United fans have taken note of the left-back’s rapid improvement early in the season.

Hall initially joined Newcastle on a loan deal last year before completing a permanent move in the summer. Despite limited opportunities under Howe during his loan stint, the young defender has now earned a place in the England squad alongside Newcastle teammates Tino Livramento and Anthony Gordon.
