Jean-Clair Todibo has responded to rumors surrounding his future at West Ham, assuring fans that he intends to stay at the club despite reports of a fallout with manager Julen Lopetegui. The 24-year-old defender had reportedly clashed with Lopetegui, fueling speculation that he might leave the London Stadium. Since then, Todibo had only featured for a brief two minutes of action before coming on at halftime in West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Brighton on December 21.

In a positive showing after the break, Todibo took to Instagram to share images from the game. When a supporter commented asking him not to leave, the Frenchman responded firmly: “I’m not gonna leave big man. West Ham are massive!! Don’t believe the media.”

Arriving in the summer, Todibo was widely regarded as one of West Ham’s standout signings, with his loan move set to become permanent in 2025. However, his time at the club has been underwhelming so far, with limited playing time and struggles to make an impact amid a challenging season for the Hammers. His reported disagreement with Lopetegui has only added to the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Despite these obstacles, Todibo’s recent performance against Brighton suggests he may still have a key role to play. His statement on Instagram indicates he is committed to proving himself at West Ham. The next step for Todibo is to find consistency, silence the off-field distractions, and demonstrate the potential that made him a sought-after addition in the summer transfer window.
