West Ham United’s pursuit of Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto has hit a dead end, with the Brazilian club rejecting their offer and confirming the player will not leave in January.

Journalist Neto, speaking via Soutimao, reports that despite previous speculation linking West Ham with a move for the 23-year-old forward, a transfer will not be happening in the winter window. West Ham is likely to seek another striker in the coming month, following struggles from Niklas Füllkrug since his summer move and Michail Antonio’s injury absence after a car accident.

Yuri Alberto has been in excellent form for Corinthians, netting 31 goals and contributing 7 assists in 57 appearances this season. Over his entire stint with the club, he has scored 57 goals and recorded 18 assists in 148 matches. His strong performances have attracted significant interest, including from West Ham, who have been active in the Brazilian market in recent years.

However, Neto confirms that West Ham’s £25m bid has been rejected, with Corinthians turning down an offer of €30m. The club has made it clear that they are not willing to sell Yuri Alberto at this time, and he is expected to remain at Corinthians until at least the summer of 2025.
